20 September 2008 - first 'summery' day

V and i get down to Bondi with Celeste in her first summer outfit. Fantastic brunch at North Bondi.. ans then a walk down to the beach. Despite having no togs Mummy bravely has here first post partem swim - in her knickers! beach is packed hope noone i know saw me xxx being in the sea was wonderful and i'm glad i got one swim in before France.. leaving in less than a week.

17 September 2008... last mother's group

There's probably about 10 mothers and babies in the Redfern mothers group. I've started to get to know them but not sure how this will go after I'm away in France for 4 months. Confess that I'm not really sure what I'm suppose to get out of this group, perhaps just to compare notes with others in a good enough reason! photos below of the 'bubs' as they are always called

8-13 September 2008 - Visiting Qld

First time Mum and Dad see Celeste since birthday and there are big changes.... big smiles that are definitely not wind, and also successfully finding her thumb which she has being elusively searching for from birth - coordination of limbs obviously underway! Take several trips up to the house, dad's baby, which coincidentally will also have taken 9 months to come to fruition... they are doing the windows and doors now and we talk about tiles a lot! the rest of the time is spent enjoying the flat and view at CottonTree... V comes up on the weekend and we have long awaited meal at 'the Spirit House' nice but we all agree a summer lunch around its lake would be the best setting for a meal there.

7 September... Father's Day

We had the boys too and everyone is dressed up for lunch... Vincent has chosen 'Town Hall' hotel (i think?) and when the McGeochs call up we invite them to join us, goregous sunny day on the balcony, steak and chips for lunch, V get father's day pressie the next week - a photo of Celeste!! surprise surprise x

August / September... Daily activities

Beatiful weather and C and i are getting out of the house as long as we can... our favourite activite is walking to Centennial Park, picking up a coffee and doing a circuit with 'learn french by podcast'!!! also back at the gym now, although weeks before i see a difference

22 August 2008 - Vincent's Birthday - Marque's

Celeste's first fine dining experience Marque restaurant for papa's birthday x we had the degustation menu, and C slept under the table comme d'habitude xx the restaurant had a perculiar silence as all the gormants studied their food intently, thankfully C was a little angel x here's the photos

24 August... first big social outing... Papa's birthday lunch x

... at Doyle's fish restaurant, Gordon's Bay. completely gorgeous day and it was packed. about 24 of us including Kate, Andy, Lara, Ang, Renee and Tim, Leah and Justin, Lang and Julie and kids, Matt, Colin, Karen, Luc, Babs, forgive me those i have missed! i believe i have the Jewfish which was spectacular. Vince wore his rainbow shirt which i love. will have to find another one like that... finished off with a sunset drink at the hotel next door. I think Celeste slept thru the entire noisy day - see photos!
